Mission& Vision

For nearly 200 years, Maryville College has been guided by the motto of our founder, the Rev. Isaac Anderson: “Do good on the largest possible scale.” Throughout our history, the College has remained committed to providing students with opportunities to grow, learn and lead.

FaithConnections

Maryville College believes that spiritual exploration and growth are just as important as academic, professional, and emotional growth, both for the college years and beyond. Founded by a Presbyterian minister, we live out our connection to the Presbyterian Church (USA) in many ways, both in and out of the classroom.

Community Education

Maryville College strives to be an appreciating asset in the wider community, and we demonstrate this in a variety of ways: Hosting art and culture events, offering educational programs, assisting with community-based research, and providing volunteers and interns to local businesses, organizations, churches and civic groups.
